Imperial Headwear has been a prominent player in the space since the company’s founding in 1916, billing itself as the leading manufacturer of premium and customizable golf headwear.
Imperial positions itself as more of a lifestyle brand than many industry competitors. An industry leader in custom logo capabilities and embroidery, visitors to the company’s website are presented with a bevy of custom options and a customizer module.
For the past three years, the Association of Golf Merchandisers’ (AGM) annual member survey found Imperial to be the #1 headwear brand in two categories – Private Facilities and Resort Facilities.
In addition to a range of headwear, the company sells apparel, towels, blankets, headcovers, and hats for travel and outdoor adventure. It serves golf courses, private clubs, and resorts, in addition to selling direct to consumers online.

Since 2012, the company has operated as a subsidiary of Paramount Apparel International, one of the largest finished cap companies in the U.S., owning and operating two domestic factories and over 1,000 embroidery heads.
