Profile

Since its founding in 1999, Golf Town Limited has grown into Canada’s largest golf superstore, with almost 50 locations stretching from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. It is the biggest golf retailer in the world’s third-largest golf market.

With stores that average a whopping 18,000 square feet of retail space, Golf Town carries a selection of all the top brands and are sanctuaries where golf devotees come to try, buy, learn about and improve their game. Whether assisting with purchases of the latest equipment and technology, or providing golf instruction, Golf Town’s professionally-trained associates are focused on providing an experiential component to consumers, both in-store and on the course.

Golf Town celebrated its 20th year in 2019 by relaunching one of its locations, in Richmond, British Columbia, with aesthetics and experiences specifically designed to capture and engage the modern consumer. The company’s plan is to have its other locations follow a similar lead. The improvements at the British Columbia location allow consumers to dive into the latest products, linger in the casual and welcoming environment offered in its new simulator and service shop areas, or get a best-in-class fitting experience with Foresight Golf’s premier GCHawk launch monitor technology.

“The relaunch of the Richmond store really speaks to our goal to make Golf Town the ‘Destination for everything Golf in Canada,'” said Chad McKinnon, President of Golf Town. “The sport is at an exciting point in its history, and we are reinventing this store to reflect that throughout.”

“We want this store, like all of those across our chain, to become a hub of the golf community, a place where golfers and golf fans come to connect to the game,” said McKinnon. “Whether you’re looking to upgrade your equipment and golf style, enjoy a night out at our Lisa LongBall Ladies Clinics, or are looking to improve your game with Golftec lessons for yourself or the family.”
