More than 60 years ago, Aquatrols introduced the world’s first commercially available soil wetting agent.  Since creating an entirely new product category to address water management challenges and opportunities, the company has remained a top innovator and producer of high-performance soil surfactants and related technologies.

Today, Aquatrols is a world leader in the development of cutting-edge soil surfactants and other specialty technologies that maximize the use of water and inputs in the golf industry as well as in the agricultural, professional turfgrass, and horticultural markets.

Golf course superintendents worldwide rely on Aquatrols’ surfactants to optimize soil-water-plant interactions, improve irrigation efficiency, and reduce water and energy use. Headquartered in Southern New Jersey, Aquatrols has offices in the United Kingdom and conducts business on six continents.

While Aquatrols has been in the business for more than 60 years, its team of scientists and technical professionals is continually seeking more effective solutions to address unique challenges facing the turf industry and individual turf managers, helping create a stronger, more uniform playing turf.

In 2019, it unveiled the Fairway Foundation, a 501(c)(3) which helps fund local and global projects, as well as educational events, that advance conservation and stewardship efforts within the turf industry. In addition to providing grants, the foundation is connecting with golf course superintendents and greenkeepers who are implementing conservation-focused projects on their courses.

Aquatrols is also a sponsor of Audubon International, a partnership that further signifies Aquatrols’ dedication to conservancy within the industry.

“Promoting conservation within the turf industry and like-spaces has always been something that is of importance to our company’s mission” says Matt Foster, Aquatrols President and CEO.
