June 2020 National Rounds Played
Rounds of golf increased by 13.9% nationally in June, a continuation of the recent surge in participation. Through the first six months of 2020, play is now down 1.7% despite the loss of 20 million spring rounds.
May 2020 National Rounds Played
Rounds-played were up 6.2% nationally in May, with more than 90% of golf courses having reopened by the second week of the month. Entering June, play is down 8% year-over-year.
April 2020 National Rounds Played
With more than half of U.S. golf courses shut down for most of April, national rounds played were down 42% during the month compared to a year ago. Through the first four months, play is down 15.6% from the same point in 2019.
March 2020 National Rounds Played
The coronavirus had its first significant golf facility impact in March 2020, with national rounds played down 8.5% for the month compared to the previous year.
December 2019 National Rounds Played
Rounds of golf for December 2019 rose 8.3% nationally compared to a year ago, putting the year-end rounds played total at +1.5%.
