Safe physical distancing is back on the upswing for golfers in July.
In late April, 70% of golfers said they wanted at least six feet of separation between them and others (including friends) who live outside their home. By June, that percentage dropped as low as 46% as attitudes about safe distancing began to ease, but the rising number of positive Covid-19 tests has apparently contributed to a recent shift in sentiment. More than half of golfers (53%) again say they prefer to remain a minimum of six feet away from anyone with they don’t live with.
The latest findings also suggest at least 80% of golfers wouldn’t be willing to share a golf cart with anyone, including friends, from outside their home.
